A series that explores the ways individuals deal with trauma and difficult experiences.
For myself, showering, skincare, doing my hair and makeup and dressing up and getting cute were things that I could do when I was sick throughout the past two years to forget my pain and force me to show up and be me. In “Look Good, Feel Good,” I wanted to examine the feminine and the color pink and the psychology behind it because it is associated with beauty and femininity, but can drive you crazy and too much of it feels wrong at some point. In the same way, looking good to feel good may work in the short term, but at the end of the day, I haven’t fixed my health or dealt with the pain.
